Silicon Beach Basket Brigade

WE’VE MADE IT EASY TO HELP!

Welcome to the 1st Annual Silicon Beach Basket Brigade!  The brigade was inspired by Tony Robbins and his inspiring experience as a young boy whose family was in need of a helping hand.  As the foundation puts it; “The International Basket Brigade is built on a simple notion: one small act of generosity on the part of one caring person can transform the lives of hundreds.”

The Fineman Suarez Team has committed to donating 10 fully completed baskets and Whole Foods Playa Vista has committed to donating 5 fully completed baskets as well as 5 frozen turkeys!  We are so grateful for their partnership and donation but we still have a long way to go to reach our goal of 100 baskets!  Thank you for your decision to join our brigade and we are excited about the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives this holiday season!

A member of The Fineman Suarez Team will arrive to pick up the donation items, please have your donations out by your front door by 9am that day.

Who will be receiving these baskets?

The items you donate will be compiled into beautiful baskets that will then go to The People Concern, one of LA County’s largest social service agencies and a united effort between the Ocean Park Community Center (OPCC) and Lamp Community to provide help to those in need.  The People Concern will distribute the baskets to families and individuals who need it most with a note that says “This comes to you from someone who cares about you. All we ask is that you take care of yourself well enough to be able to do this for someone else someday.”  Our greatest hope is that these families and individuals, like Tony Robbins, will be inspired to get themselves to a place where they can pay this gift forward.

Additionally, we have a set a goal to donate a few additional pet related baskets to the K9 Connection, an organization that offer teens the chance to break through learning and life barriers by training and bonding with homeless dogs.
